Array Training AWARDED ISO 9001 CERTIFICATE

Within its first year of trading, Aberdeen based Rigmar Training Centre, has been awarded ISO9001:2008 Certification from awarding body Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

This certificate gives global recognition of the stability of the company’s quality management system and demonstrates the Centre’s compliance and commitment to industry-respected practices.

Managing Director, Ray Wilson, launched the site in 2012 and believes that certification will help the company secure new business and further build on its success to date. He said ‘I started up the Rigmar Training Centre with the vision to create a centre of excellence for NDE and rope access training, as well as to advise industry leaders through our consultancy services. To date, over £500,000 has been invested in the Centre with this ambition in mind.

‘Within a short space of time we built up the NDT division securing accreditation and approvals from leading industry bodies such as the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) that provides us with the approval to administer training and examination under both PCN and SNT schemes.

‘This recent certification demonstrates our commitment to efficient work practices and business objectives: resulting in easily defined responsibilities, reduces costs and a high level of customer satisfaction, amongst other benefits.’

In June, the Rigmar Training Centre also secured accreditation from International Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA), expanding its services to include IRATA Rope Access training and consultancy services.

Speaking of the milestone, Ray said, ‘The launch of the rope access division is the second phase of our strategic growth plan and early response to the service has been exceptional. To achieve one accolade within a month is an achievement. To achieve two demonstrates the experience and calibre of the team at the Rigmar Training Centre as well as our ability to ensure quality remains at an internationally recognised level during a period of accelerated growth.’

Tilo Phillips, has been appointed as IRATA Rope Access Training Manager to manage the rope access division. Bringing 12 years of Rope Access experience to the role, the IRATA Level 3 Instructor/Assessor says: ‘Rigmar Training is an ambitious company. I am delighted to have joined Rigmar and to have the opportunity to continue to deliver high quality IRATA Rope Access training as part of Ray’s team.’

Array Training ACHIEVES IRATA STATUS

Array Training, a specialist provider of consultancy, training and examination services to the in-service inspection industry, has gained Probationary Trainer membership from IRATA - the sole global trade association in the work-at-height sector.

The news shortly follows the company’s announcement on achieving accreditor status with the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) for the training and examinations leading to qualification. With this certification the Centre can provide both PCN (Personal Certification in Non-Destructive Testing) training as well as ASNT (American Society of Non-Destructive Testing) company specific training.

Since launched in August 2012 by Ray Wilson, Managing Director, over £500,000 has been invested to create a centre of excellence for NDE and Rope Access Training facility in East Tullos, Aberdeen.

Speaking of the developments, Ray said: ‘The NDT training service is now fully operational and is experiencing a high level of demand both nationally and internationally with operations across 27 countries.

‘The launch of the rope access division is the second phase of our strategic growth plan and early response to the service has been exceptional. To achieve IRATA accreditation at such an early stage demonstrates our commitment to delivering the highest of standard of training at an internationally recognised level.’

The IRATA certification scheme qualifies rope access technicians to progress through three Levels of proficiency, with certification issued at each level and is recognised globally as an industry standard, with over 60,000 registered IRATA technicians in over 50 countries and across every continent.

Ray was recently announced as Chairman by the BINDT committee members for the North East of Scotland and says “This recent accolade is a key milestone for opportunities on being more involved in playing a proactive role with current and prospective projects at the BINDT branch here in Aberdeen” and added  “I am very pleased with the decision made by members and assure that I can dedicate the time and efforts on giving support to the branch.”

New website launched

Rigmar Training Centre recently launched a brand new website to communicate the high standard of consultancy and training services delivered by the newly established Centre to the in-service inspection industry.

Having recently invested £500,000 to create a state of the art training facility, the website is a further demonstration of the company’s continued commitment to provide flexible training solutions to meet the needs of its candidates.

Array Training invest £500,000 in new facility

Since launched in August 2012, Array Training Ltd has invested over £500,000 in a state of the art NDE and Rope Access Training facility in Aberdeen.

The specialist providers of consultancy, training and examination services to the in-service inspection industry, says this recent investment was required to accommodate the high demand for its services received worldwide.
